Desperate Housewives fan no more.

I am a fan of the TV series Desperate Housewives, and since I can't watch it regularly I bought a DVD which I never really finished watching. And maybe I will not finish watching, due to this:

We are writing to express concern and hurt about a racially-discriminatory comment made in an episode of Desperate Housewives on 9/30/07. In a scene in which Susan was told by her gynecologist that she might be hitting menopause, she replied, "Can I just check those diplomas because I just want to make sure that they are not from some med school in the Philippines."

i'm sad about that, too. but anyway, it's good that we now know how those thugs view our Filipino docs.

***i guess they are referring to the poor medical services afforded to Filipinos by the gov't. i respect Filipino doctors.

Hindi ko linya ang medicine at yung iba pang industries na may koneksyon dito, pero I understand why would our medical professionals react this way. Instead of countering this remark with another bashing, why not prove them wrong by doing their profession the best way possible.

Hehe peace.
